Knowt
Knowt is an AI study platform that turns lectures, notes and PDFs into summaries, flashcards, practice tests and podcasts, with a voice tutor and exam prep. It is aimed at students and teachers, with a free plan.
The exam is in two weeks, and your notes are a mix of slides, a recorded lecture and a 40 page PDF. Knowt turns that pile into things you can study from: summaries, notes and flashcards, with practice built around them.
The free Basic plan lets you create unlimited files, collaborate live with classmates and browse a library of about 5 million shared study resources. The paid Ultra plan adds AI summaries of PDFs, videos, images and PowerPoint files, a lecture recording summarizer, a podcast generator that turns your material into audio, a voice tutor on all your files, and full AP, SAT and ACT prep. It also removes ads.
Most users are high school and college students, and there is a separate version for teachers. Knowt says it has 6.5 million users.
Pricing
Basic is free. Ultra is $12.99 a month when paid annually, billed upfront as $149.99, with a 3 day free trial. Month to month, Ultra is $24.99. Prices checked on knowt.com in October 2026.
Worth knowing before you sign up
- The refund window is short: 24 hours after a purchase or renewal, minus about 3.5% in transaction fees.
- Knowt cannot refund purchases made through iOS or Android; those go through Apple or Google.
- Subscribers get promotional coins for merchandise after the first payment, and redeeming them makes the subscription ineligible for a refund.
You cancel auto-renewal from Settings, then Your Plan, where you fill in a short form. The plan stays active until the end of the billing cycle.
