Scholarcy
Scholarcy turns research papers, articles and textbook chapters into structured summaries and flashcards to help readers understand and evaluate complex texts. It is built for students and researchers, with a free summarizer.
Your reading list has 30 papers on it and you have time to read maybe five properly. Scholarcy reads research papers, articles and textbook chapters for you first and turns each one into a structured flashcard summary, so you can decide which ones deserve your full attention.
Each summary pulls out the key points, and you can highlight, add notes and edit the text. Summaries are saved in a library you can sort and search, group into collections and read on any device. For literature reviews it can build a literature matrix comparing several papers side by side, and it creates bibliographies in one click. Flashcards export to other apps, and Scholarcy works with tools such as Zotero and Notion. There are browser extensions too.
It is used by students, international students reading in a second language, and researchers. Scholarcy says more than 600,000 people use it.
